Today was a slow day, my only day off in a long while actually. My new secondhand camera was arriving in the post so I had an excuse to stay inside until that arrived. I have been anticipating buying a digital camera for so long so this moment feels surreal. I went with the Sony A7ii if anyone was wondering.
I went for a walk to a cafe nearby to do some uni work. It's about a 30 minute walk through a nature reserve which was lovely. Also the prime opportunity to test out some video settings on my camera. After my lukewarm chai tea- yeah was a bit disappointing hey, I trundled back home through the nature reserve. Then it became apparent that I had no idea what to do with my day off so opted for the only rationale idea- op shopping.
I scored pretty well at the op shop. The Salvos I went to usually has some great finds because its pretty big. Despite the weather actually being quite warm in the afternoons, the mornings are frosty and bitter, so I was quite pleased to find these two jumpers. The dark forrest green jumper on the right is pure new wool which was a great find.
I then found this absolute gem hidden amongst the bags. Its a leather satchel- and yes I'm plant based but I don't mind buying secondhand leather. You can tell that it is real vintage by how impressive the quality of it is, I honestly can't wait to bring it to uni with my papers and books in it.
Next I headed to the health food shop and picked up some oatly milk. Everyone raves about it in the UK but it is really difficult to find in Australia, but when I saw it I had to try it. It tastes very good, no replacement for Bonsoy though haha, but work be a great addition alongside it.
Then I went to the green grocers and picked up some greens for dinner and a pomegranate that was on special .
I also bought these beautiful pottery dishes that I had been eyeing up for weeks. I plan to use the smaller one as a tea bag holder, but still unsure of what I can use the larger one for, any ideas?
